Mental Health Service

Your mental health is an important part of finding and keeping meaningful work. EPIC Assist’s Mental Health Service provides practical, short-term counselling and well-being support. It is for people accessing:

  • Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA)
  • NDIS participants
  • and other people seeking counselling (Fee-for-Service).

The Mental Health Service is a telehealth-first service via phone or video. In-person appointments are available where appropriate, pre-organised, and suitable.

Our approach is confidential and person-centered. Our practitioners use trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and neurodiversity-affirming practices.

EPIC Assist’s Mental Health Service does not provide home visits.

If you’re considering support but not sure where to start, you can complete the enquiry form on this page to talk it through. You don’t need to have all the details yet.

We walk the talk

Every person’s experience of mental health and wellbeing is unique. Our approach is person-centred, meeting you where you are. We understand that factors influence well-being in work and everyday life. These can include disability, neurodiversity, gender, culture, and life circumstances.

The support we offer is:

  • Inclusive and person-centred. Our practitioners are responsive to the diverse experiences of people with disability. Including physical, sensory, cognitive, or psychosocial needs
  • Trauma-informed. Our approach is grounded in psychological safety, empathy, and respect
  • Perinatal-aware. We recognise the well-being needs of parents and carers
  • Neurodiversity-affirming. Our practitioners recognise the strengths and challenges of our participants. Including people with ADHD, Autism, learning differences, and other neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Culturally responsive. EPIC is respectful of identity, community, and lived experience

We can help you manage the impact of disability, stress, navigate change, or adjust to a new workplace. Our Mental Health Service helps people maintain well-being and build confidence. Learn how to thrive at your own pace in a way that feels safe and sustainable.

Inclusion isn’t just something EPIC promotes — it’s something we live every day.

Members of our team bring lived experience of disability or mental health challenges. Their experiences help to design and deliver our services. We do this with respect, understanding, and practical insight.

We know first-hand that recovery and meaningful employment are possible. The right support can make a real difference.

Our commitment to mental health and well-being extends beyond the people we support. It’s embedded in how we care for our team and community.
